Dealing with Cracked Nipples

Not all mothers succeed directly in breastfeeding. There will be a time when you and your baby learn and try many techniques. It can be a bit difficult at the beginning and you sometimes have to face some problems. Cracked nipples is one of the problems usually appear. Although you have consumed healthy food and your breast milk is qualified enough, cracked nipples truly disturb the baby feeding process. Commonly this happens because your baby is not attaching to the breast correctly during breastfeeding. So, it deals with the breastfeeding technique to avoid painful nipples.

The pain is sometimes is not severe and will last for just few day. But for the severe one, you should take paracetamol thirty minutes before breastfeeding. Use the other breast to feed our baby and the affected one should not be used at least for a day. Pumping the milk is not recommended since it will cause more pain. Usually the problem can be solved without medical help. However, if there is no significant result for several days, you have to seek medical help. Since breastfeeding is the way to make your baby healthier naturally, you need to do some efforts to make sure it last for six months minimally. The key is on your daily diet. It has to be completed with proteins, calorie, vitamins, minerals, and other essential substances.
