A couchsurfing and hospitality club import tool is currently being written by a volunteer for BeWelcome. This tool is designed to extract out all user information, and friends. It's being implemented in Java, and runs on the users computer. The advantage of this is that passwords don't need to be stored (great for privacy), and it's virtually impossible for Couchsurfing or Hospitality Club to detect the tool is being used.
