[edit] High Level Overview
- Since crash at mine is distributed, each individual "network" may only have a limited number of members.
- If a user searches for a person in a city, and nobody exists, the system may choose to search for other members on another "compatible" network.
- The networks would choose what other networks are compatible with each other (default settings) and users of those networks can also opt-out of if they want to be shared.
[edit] Examples of Compatible Networks
- Scouts and Rock Climbers
- Formula1 enthusiasts and car enthusiasts
[edit] Examples of Incompatible Networks
- Christians and Atheists
[edit] Examples of when users may want to override default settings
- Some users may not want to show up in search results for Christians networks by choice.
- Former members of "XYZ Kung Fu network" may find the grass is greener on "ZYX Kung Fu network" and don't want to associate with their old friends in search results.
[edit] FAQ
